Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Hints Strict Action Against Responsible Of Sahiwal Tragedy

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Monday said the strict action would be taken in the light of JIT report against responsible of Sahiwal tragedy
He expressed these views while presiding over a parliamentary party meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) here at Punjab Assembly cafeteria. The meeting condemned Sahiwal incident and expressed heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family.
Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said everyone was sad over Sahiwal tragedy and the government equally sharing the sorrow of grieved family. He said he went to Sahiwal to inquire after the injured children. "The pain and agony of the injured children cannot be described in words and they are like my own children," he added.
Usman Buzdar said Prime Minister Imran Khan was also very grieved over this tragedy and he had talked to him thrice about it. He had directed to bring the responsible persons to the court of law.
The chief minister promised to provide justice to the bereaved family, saying, no one would be allowed to create hurdles in the way of providing justice to the affected family.
He said the Punjab government had announced a financial assistance of Rs. 20 million for the affected family besides, bearing educational expenses of the children and free of cost medical facilities to them.
The chief minister said officials and their supervisor, who took part in the operation, had been arrested immediately and were also suspended from their job, adding, a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) was inquiring the incident and a report would be submitted by Tuesday.
He said such incidents were kept hidden in the past and neither FIR was registered nor JIT was constituted. The requirements of justice would be fulfilled after the JIT report, he added.
The meeting also expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over this incident and prayed for the departed souls.
Later, Provincial Law Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja said the Sahiwal incident was very tragic and the Punjab government had constituted JIT soon after the incident.
During the meeting, fateha was also offered for the departed soul of late member provincial assembly Mazhar Abbas Raan, hailing from Multan, who passed away last week.
