Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Vows Prompt Justice In Sahiwal Tragedy

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Monday said Sahiwal incident was very sad and soon after this incident, the Punjab government had instituted a JIT under Additional IG Ejaz Shah
"The JIT will submit its report within 72 hours," he added.
Talking to media outside the Punjab Assembly, the chief minister said, 72 hours time period of JIT would be completed by Tuesday at 5pm, adding, further action would be taken in the light of the report.
Responding to a question, he said, the nation would witness that strict action would be taken in the light of JIT's report and action would be visible.
In response to another question, the chief minister said, not even FIR was registered during the previous tenure against such incidents but the action of their government would be visible to everybody.
"The responsible persons will be brought to justice. I have summoned a meeting tomorrow evening," he added.
He said, all the sympathies of the Punjab government were with the bereaved heirs and affected family would properly be looked after.
He said, the Punjab government had announced Rs. 20 million as financial aid for the affected family and educational expenses of the children would also be borne by the government. "Similarly, free medical facility will also be provided to the bereaved family," he added.
