Punjab Food Authority Confiscates 1,200 Kg Expired Meat, Sealed Three Outlets In Rawalpindi

Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Wednesday confiscated 1,200 kg expired meat while three outlets were sealed for not having proper cleanliness arrangements.
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Oct, 2018 ) :Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Wednesday confiscated 1,200 kg expired meat while three outlets were sealed for not having proper cleanliness arrangements.
The PFA team visited at Khaban-e-Sirsyed area and found 1,200 kg expired meat at Wahid Associates Company and sealed it.
Another team raided at Punjab college canteen where carbonated drinks were being sold. The team sealed the canteen shop as the owner failed to provide trade license.
The PFA team also raided at a dry fruit shop at Malkwal road in Chakwal area and sealed Chaman dry fruit shop for selling adulterated tea while 45 kg tea, 140kg haldi and 27kg colorful slanty were also confiscated.
The teams also issued warning notices to 210 outlets and imposed fine on several outlets for not having food standards and proper cleanliness arrangements .
He further said strict action is being taken againstviolators to ensure provision of hygienic food to the residents.
