
Punjab Govt To Install Drip Irrigation System On 10,000 Acres

MULTAN,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Augst,2016) -Punjab government will install drip irrigation system and solar system on 10,000 acres in order to promote modern farming in the province. Official sources said Rs 2.05 billion would be spent for the purpose.
Also,tunnel technique arrangements would also be made at 1500 acres in the province,informed sources in Agriculture department. These steps are part of multi-billion package announced by Punjab government for boosting agriculture sector.
About impact and economic benefits,the sources informed that nearly Rs 1.5 lakh extra income was expected from one acre on average under this project. The sources assured that climate changes,soil quality,and other factors would be kept in mind during installation of these systems.
