Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) registered 1473 cases on traffic violation during the last month.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Oct, 2018 ) :Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) registered 1473 cases on traffic violation during the last month.

PHP sources said that the team seized 69022 motorcycles on using fake registration number plates or green number plates.

The PHP team apprehended 165 proclaimed offenders and 36 court absconders during the same period.

During drive against illegal weapons, the force recovered six Kalashnikov, nine riffles, 27 carbines, 158 pistols and 1879 bullets.

PHP Traffic Management posts issued 11470 tickets of Rs 527247 to traffic violators.

Comprehensive training programme was arranged for training of PHP officials. The department arranged three different courses.

Under Green Highway drive, 207247 plants have been planted in beat areas of the posts.
