
Punjab Police Arrest 98 Suspects During Last 24 Hours

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jun, 2025) Punjab police conducted 443 search and sweep operations across the province in the last 24 hours, resulting in the checking of 16,413 suspected individuals and the arrest of 98 persons.
The police spokesperson said on Friday that in Lahore alone, 33 search and sweep actions were conducted, leading to the questioning of 2,640 individuals and arrest of two suspects.
Police also arrested 216 proclaimed offenders, 121 court absconders, and 28 habitual criminals involved in serious crimes during the operations. A significant quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition was recovered from their possession.
In police actions against criminals, six offenders were killed, three injured, and five arrested, the spokesperson added.
Inspector General Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, reaffirmed the commitment to continue search, sweep, and combing operations to bring terrorists and anti-state elements to justice.
