Quality Education Is Prerequisite To Reduce Poverty: UAF VC
FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july, 2016) : Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), said here on Friday that quality education especially for underprivileged segments of society was a prerequisite to reduce poverty.
The VC was addressing students who won scholarships from Professional Education Fund (PEF) at cheque distribution ceremony at syndicate meeting room on Friday. He distributed cheques worth Rs 60,000 for each student.
He said that the UAF was disbursing Rs 700 million merit- and need-based scholarships every year.
