
Railways' Infrastructure Being Improved To Offer Better Travelling Facilities: Saad

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th july, 2016) : Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique Thursday said infrastructure of Pakistan Railways was being upgraded to provide better travelling facilities to commuters. "We are updating its infrastructure and there is visible improvement in services, Pakistan railways is providing to the travellers," he said talking to a private news channel. He said Railways was a national entity and its improvement would contribute to national economy. The minister said it was important that workers of any institution must work honestly for its welfare without involving in politics.
To a question, he said the government was utilizing all available resources to overcome energy shortage in the country. Khawaja Saad Rafique said, due to measures of the government, load-shedding had declined and it would further decrease. He said a number of power projects were underway in different parts of the country to overcome shortage of electricity. The concerned authorities were taking steps to stop power theft to overcome the shortfall, he said adding that people should cooperate with the government to nab power thieves.
