Rain-thundershower Likely At Scattered Places, Isolated Heavy Falls At Few Areas

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Aug, 2018 ) :Rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Punjab, Kashmir and Federal capital and at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, central Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours while isolated heavy falls are also forecast at few places.
Rainfall is likely at Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Hazara divisions, Kashmir and Islamabad, while at isolated places in Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Mardan, D.I khan, Zhob, Faislabad, Sarghodha divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan during this time span.
Seasonal low lies over north Balochistan with its trough extending north eastwards. Monsoon currents are continuously penetrating upper parts of the country and likely to continue coming days, an official of Met office told APP.
In the last 24 hours, weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Kashmir and Islamabad .
Rainfall recorded during this time duration was:Punjab: Lahore (A/P) 11mm, Sialkot cantt 03mm, Islamabad (Saidpur), Murree 01mm, Kashmir: Kotli 07mm.
Maximum temperature recorded on Sunday remained: Dadu 44�C, Sukkur, SH.BENAZIRABAD, Bhakkar, Turbat 43�C, Chitral, Gilgit 40�C, Quetta, Faisalabad 38�C, Peshawar 37�C, Lahore, Multan 36�C, Muzaffarabad, Hyderabad 34�C, Islamabad 32�C, Karachi 31�C and Murree 23�C.
