ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -25th Augst,2016) : Rain-thunderstorm is expected at scattered places of Punjab, Sindh, Eastern Balochistan and Kashmir, while at isolated places in KP, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours.

Isolated heavy fall may occur during the period. Heavy downpour may generate flash flooding in Dera Ghazi Khan divisions and Eastern Balochistan. Weak Seasonal Low lies over Northeast Balochistan.

Yesterday's monsoon low over Northwest Madhya Pradesh and Adjoining Rajasthan (India) today lies over Northwest Rajasthan. Due to this low pressure monsoon currents are penetrating in the country and likely to continue during next 03 to 04 days, said an official of Met Office. In last 24 hours weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country.

However rain-thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas divisions, FATA and Kashmir.

Rainfall recorded during this time span was Punjab:Islamabad (Z.P 72mm, Saidpur 20mm), Jhang 57mm, Lahore (A/P42mm, City 18mm), Kasur 17mm, Sargodha 07mm, Murree 05mm, Gujranwala 03mm, Sialkot Cantt 01mm, Multan Mandibahauddin, Sahiwal 01mm, Kashmir: GarhiDupatta 22mm, Rawalakot 04mm, Muzaffarabad 01mm, Sindh: Chachoro 09mm, Mirpurkhas , Badin 07mm, Mithi, Diplo 03mm, Nagarparker 02mm and KP:Balakot 04mm. Maximum temperatures recorded on Thursday were Turbat 43 øC, Bhakkar, Sibbi 42øC, Multan 39øC, Peshawar 38øC, Faisalabad 37øC, Muzaffarabad 36øC, Islamabad 36øC, Quetta 35øC, Gilgit 35øC, Chitral 35øC, Dir 34øC, Lahore 34øC, Hyderabad 33øC, Karachi 33øC, Skardu 30øC, Kalat 30øC, Hunza 27øC and Murree 23øC.
