SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2019 ) : The rainy spell augurs well for Kinnow orchards as it will help increase citrus yield during the upcoming season.
The growers should care about their orchards properly to get best yield, an expert of Citrus Research Institute Sargodha (CRIS) told APP here Friday.
He said that rains were helpful for best Kinnow quality as rains fulfill irrigation needs and also resist diseases attacks.
He said that rains wash leaf rust, adding that branches of citrus trees had to face dryness attack during last year due to low irrigation.
He urged growers to contact the CRIS for consultation about their citrus fields, adding that experts were also providing assistance to farmers to improve the quality of fruit.
