Rawalpindi Cantonment Board Food Branch Team Issues 15 Notices; Imposes Rs 36,000 Fines On Violators

The Food Branch of Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) issued 15 show cause notices on Tuesday and imposed fines amounting to Rs 36,000 on the rules violators.
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Sep, 2018 ) :The Food Branch of Rawalpindi Cantonment board (RCB) issued 15 show cause notices on Tuesday and imposed fines amounting to Rs 36,000 on the rules violators.
Talking to APP RCB spokesman Qaiser Mahmood said that RCB Food Branch team conducted raids in Saddar, Tench Bhatta and Dhamial areas and imposed fines on Mashallah Juice Centre, FC Restaurant, Rahat Caf�, Don Bakers, The Don Bakers, Shimla Bakers, Gilgit-Baltistan Hotel, Anokha Sweets and Sheroz Caf� for poor cleanliness and unhygienic conditions. The team also collected 28 food samples which have been sent to the lab for quality test.
Food Inspectors on the directive of the Cantonment Executive Officer Sibtain Raza are conducting surprise visits of different markets including Saddar, Peshawar Road, Qasim Market, Chor, Allahabad, Masrial, Tench Bhatta, Peoples Colony, Chungi Number 22, Bakra Mandi and other areas and inspecting cleanliness condition with quality of food items at food outlets, he added.He said, the teams are also imposing fines on the stall holders and vendors for unhygienic food and poor cleanliness condition. The raids wouldcontinue, he said adding that the teams have been directed to also check the healthof the workers serving at the food outlets.
