Rawalpindi Chamber Of Commerce And Industry's Five-day 'Rawal Intl Expo' Concludes

The five-day 'Rawal International Expo 2019' organized by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) concluded here on Monday at Topi Rakh Auditorium Ayub Park
Commissioner Rawalpindi Jodat Ayaz was the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the Expo.
Addressing the participants, the Commissioner appreciated the role of RCCI in promoting business activities in the region and congratulated the Chamber for organizing a successful event.
Jodat Ayaz said the exhibitions play a vital role in boosting business activity, adding, his office is closely working with RCCI on Glorious City Rawalpindi project launched to revive the beauty, heritage and historical landscape of the city to attract the tourists. He also briefed the participants on the development projects in the city including Ring Road.
The RCCI president, Malik Shahid Saleem, senior vice president, Muhammad Badar Haroon, vice president, Fayyaz Qureshi, Group leader, Sohail Altaf, Chairman Rawal Expo, Nasir Mirza, Senior vice chairman, Khurshid Berlas, vice chairman, Bilal Maqbool, members of the executive committee and a number of industrialists, business professionals and exporters attended the ceremony.
The Commissioner later visited various stalls and commended the work of emerging entrepreneurs.
In his welcome address, Malik Shahid Saleem said the Expo 2019 was organized aimed at increasing business activity and provide people with entertainment.
Urging the government to provide a dedicated space for organizing expos in the city, he said, it was a requirement for the trade and industrial exhibitions.
He said, more than twelve countries including China, Indonesia and Thailand participated in the Expo while first time, the Defence Export Production Organization and Heavy Industries also displayed their products.
A large number of industrial products including garments, leather goods and furniture were displayed in the exhibition and the buyers had the opportunity to book orders on the spot.
An auto-show, Pet show, food court, children play area and a family gala were also part of the expo.
