Rawalpindi Police Devise Special Security Plan For Shab-e-Baraat

Rawalpindi Police, on the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Ahsan Abbas, have devised a comprehensive security plan for Shab-e-Baraat to be celebrated on Saturday night
The police have finalized all the arrangements to deploy 1600 personnel to ensure security at 2265 Mosques and 197 Imam Bargahs and religious congregations during the sacred night.
Special teams of Police commandos, Elite Force and Muhafiz Force have been constituted. Special barricades have been established at several points and police teams have also been deputed to monitor the whole situation.
According to security plan, special teams would patrol in their respective areas under the supervision of SHOs. The Superintendents of Police would monitor the patrolling and the security situation.
On the directive of the CPO, special arrangements have been made to ensure law and order situation.
Police in plain-dress and uniform and lady police would perform their duties.
Meanwhile, traffic police wardens have also been deputed for the smooth flow of traffic in the city.
The routine checking has been tightened further at entry and exit points of the city.
According to a police spokesman, the prime responsibility of the police is protection of the lives and property of the citizens and Rawalpindi District Police had finalized security arrangements for Shab-e-Baraat.
He said, the CPO had directed the police to utilize all available resources to safeguard the citizens and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.
He informed that action in accordance with the law was also beingtaken against fireworks dealers, users and one-wheelers.
