Rawalpindi Waste Management Company To Remove 15,000 Tons Waste On Eidul Azha

Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) will remove around 15,000 tons waste in Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation and Rawalpindi/Chaklala Cantonments board areas to keep the areas clean during Eidul Azha.
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Aug, 2018 ) :Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) will remove around 15,000 tons waste in Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation and Rawalpindi/Chaklala Cantonments board areas to keep the areas clean during Eidul Azha.
"The company has finalized a comprehensive cleanliness plan for Eidul Azha to get rid of entrails and offals of the slaughtered animals. All available resources will be utilized to accomplish the task," RWMC Managing Director Rizwan Sherdeel Khan told APP here Tuesday.
Around 3,000 sanitary workers are deployed during the drive, adding special honorarium would be given to them.
He said 45 additional dumpers,150 mini dumpers, 250 handcarts, 40 compactors would be part of the special drive to remove the remains from every nook and cranny of the city.
According to the plan, he said, Rawal Town has been divided into four sectors to make effective cleanliness arrangements for Eidul Azha while a control room would also be set up.
Commercial Market, Satellite Town, Sadiqabad, New Katrian, Pindora and other areas will be included in Sector A.
Mukkha Singh Street, Millat Colony, Muslim Town, Afandi Colony, Mohala Cha Sultan, Araya Mohala, Amarpura and other areas will be included in Sector B.
Main commercial areas of the city including Raja Bazaar, Shah Nazar Dewan, Jamia Masjid Road, Liaquat Road, Kartarpura, Akalghar, Banni,Kohati bazaar and adjacent areas will be included in Sector C.
Peerwadhai, Khaiban-e-Sir-Syed, Dhoke Matkal, Dhoke Hassu, Fauji Colony and surrounding areas will be in sector D.
"All the four sectors will work under the control room.
The residents have been asked to contact on Help line number 1139 for any complaint," Rizwan said.
The managing director informed that the leaves of the staff have been cancelled and 3000 sanitary workers and officials of the department to ensure cleanliness during the Eid days.
Meanwhile a walk led by Magistrate Azeem Awan was held from Banni chowk to Asghar Mall Chowk to create awareness among masses about the cleanliness campaign.
On the occasion ,1800 garbage bags were distributed among the residents size of 20-22kg of small animals and 50kg for camel, buffaloes and others.
