RCB confiscates over 100 truckloads goods in encroachment drive

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -1st Sep,2016) :- Rawalpindi Cantonment board (RCB) has confiscated over 100 truckloads goods from different markets in its grand operation against encroachments. The operation on the special instruction of Cantonment Executive Officer (CEO) Dr.

Saima Shah was launched which has been further intensified. According to RCB spokesman, encroachments have been removed during last three months from Saddar, Kashmir Road, Bank Road, Tench Bhatta, Dhoke Syedan, Bakra Mandi, Chungi No 22, Allahabad, Chor, Masrial Road, Quaid-e-Azam Colony, Peoples Colony and other areas and the enforcement teams confiscated 568 hand carts, 2075 benches/counters, 27 Auto Engines, 13 Auto Gears and other items.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Additional Cantonment Executive Officer Rana Rameez Shafqat. He said, RCB markets are being visited on daily basis and the enforcement teams also conduct operation at night.

All out efforts are being made to make RCB areas encroachments free, he added. He further informed that the sale of sacrificial animals has been banned in Cantonment areas. The decision has been taken on the directives of CEO Dr Saima Shah.

No one would be allowed to set up market of sacrificial animals within the Cantt limits. Special teams would be formed to take action against the violators, besides imposing fines and confiscating their animals, he added.
