RDA Declares 'Blue World City' Illegal; Advises Citizens Not To Invest In Such Projects

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2018 ) :Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has declared the private housing scheme 'Blue World City' illegal and advised the citizens not to invest in such projects.
Director, RDA Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP & TE), Jamshaid Aftab talking to APP informed that a notice has been issued to the administration of the housing scheme 'Blue World City' as it did not get NOC from RDA.
He said, 'Blue World City' owners with Chinese partnership announced launching of the housing scheme, apartments and commercial projects and invited applications from public for registration of memberships/sale of plots in the scheme which is in the controlled area of RDA.
The scheme is illegal as it could not fulfill the set criteria and get approval as per law from RDA. He said, it's status is illegal and advised the citizens not to invest in illegal schemes including 'Blue World City'.
He said, the administration of the housing scheme has been warned of strict action in accordance with the law as the advertisements, marketing and development of such projects are unauthorized. Jamshaid Aftab further said that the management of 'Blue World City' has been directed to stop the marketing of an unapproved and illegal project and get prior approval with NOC from RDA else, strict action would be taken.
The RDA spokesman Hafiz Muhammad Irfan informed APP that Commissioner Rawalpindi Division/Director General RDA, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary had directed the MP&TE Directorate to take strict action against illegal and unauthorized housing schemes, construction and commercial activities according to rules.
