RDA Directs Illegal Housing Societies To Stop Advertisements

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2019 ) :Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), on the directives of its Chairman Muhammad Arif Abbasi, Wednesday directed the illegal housing societies to immediately stop advertising their projects else strict action in accordance with the law would be taken.
According to a RDA spokesman, the authorities concerned had been instructed to launch crackdown against the rules violators without any discrimination.
The RDA Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate had also been instructed to issue notices to the unauthorized housing societies under Punjab Private Housing Scheme and Land Sub-division Rules 2010 and the RDA officers were directed to take action against illegal constructions, he said.
The chairman, giving directions to the RDA director general and other authorities concerned, said to approve the private housing projects and the building plans as per law and no compromise should be made on rules, he added.
He advised the citizens not to invest in illegal housing societies and check status of a housing project at RDA's official website before any investment.
