Recent Rain Leaves Positive Effect On Wheat Crop: DD Agriculture

ATTOCK, Jan 4 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Jan, 2017 ) : Recent rain will have pleasant affect on wheat crop however timely spray and rooting out of wild growth is mandatory. Talking to newspersons here on Wednesday, Deputy Director Agriculture Dr Muhammad Iqbal said in Attock district, over 600,000 acre of land was cultivable including 550,000 acre rain-fed and 50,000 acre of irrigated land.

He said, this year, there was no rain therefore recent rain would have positive effect on wheat crop and upto 50 percent target would be achieved. He advised the farmers to carry out timely spray and remain in touch with agriculture department for expert opinion.
