Minister of State for Revenue Muhammad Hammad Azhar Wednesday said due to the steps taken by the government the current account deficit was reducing which would help improve the national economy
The foreign reserves were also increasing while the government was focusing on ways to broaden tax net, he said talking to a private news channel.
The minister said the economy had been destabilized due to redundant policies of the last Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government, which had burdened the country with huge foreign loans. The present government had to pay back hefty amount of loans since coming to power, he added.
