An Accountability Court (AC) Wednesday adjourned hearing on a corruption reference till May 29, pertaining to assets beyond know sources of income against former finance minister Ishaq Dar
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2019 ) :An Accountability Court (AC) Wednesday adjourned hearing on a corruption reference till May 29, pertaining to assets beyond know sources of income against former finance minister Ishaq Dar.
During the course of proceeding, the counsel for co-accused Naeem Mehmood and Mansoor Raza continued cross examining with joint investigation team head Wajid Zia.
Zia told the accountability court Judge Muhammad Bashir that the Federal board of Revenue had not provided record from 1981 to 1985.
He stated that he was not able to say anything about the welfare projects carried by Hajveri Trust. He stated that the JIT did not verify the statement of Dar regarding 'holding of record by NAB and other state department in 1999.
At this, National Accountability Bureau (NAB)'s prosecutor Afzal Qureshi objected over the queries of defense side and stated that all questions were being asked related to the former finance minister who had been declared proclaimed offender.
