Remittances, Auto Industry Show Upward Trend: Omar Ayub

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jan, 2019 ) :Minister for Power Division Omar Ayub Khan on Wednesday lauding the economic policies of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government, said that remittances and auto industry had shown upward trend during the period of last six months.
Talking to a private news channel, he highlighted the present government's positive steps taken under the dynamic vision of the Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that trade balance had been improved to five percent while remittances increased by 10 percent.
H said PTI government had to face circular debt due to bad policies of the previous government of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
He said the previous government of PML-N had dumped the heavy amount of Rs. 800 billion into a burner. Omar Ayub said that present government after coming into power had taken measures to expand tax net. He said the government paid the circular debt of Rs.450 billion left by the PML-N government.
The PTI government, the minister said, had boosted the business activities besides improving the growth rate in the industrial sector.
In reply to a question, Omar Ayub said the next budget would be pro-poor and business friendly. To another question, he said that FBR was streamlining the system for broaden the tax net across the country.
