Rescue 1122 Responded To 1549 Emergency Calls

SARGODHA, Dec 5 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Dec, 2016 ) : Sargodha District Control room of Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 responded to 1549 emergency calls during the month of November.
It was disclosed by the District Emergency Officer Mazhar Shah on Monday while sharing the monthly performance report with the reporters.
He said average response time remained four minutes and eleven seconds, adding that among responded emergencies, 664 were road traffic accidents, 16 fire incidents, 69 quarrels, 616 medical and heart emergencies while 403 were given first aid on the spot.
The PES also provided basic life support and disaster management training to several departments, he added. He said that during the dengue fever season, the service organized several seminars at schools and colleges to create awareness. He said nine new emergency services centers had also been established in the division to facilitate people.
