Rescue 1122 Sets Up Temporary Safety Points Along Indus River In DIKhan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jul, 2025) In line with the directives of Director General Rescue 1122 Dr. Tahir Abdullah and Regional Director South Operations Imran Khan Yousafzai, the district administration and Rescue 1122 established temporary rescue points at seven different locations along the Indus River to ensure public safety.

These rescue points have been set up under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122, Engineer Fasihullah. The goal is to prevent drowning and keep people safe by staying away from dangerous riverbanks and deep water areas.

According to a spokesperson, Rescue 1122 teams are stationed round the clock at these points to provide immediate response in case of emergencies. The personnel are also actively involved in public awareness campaigns to educate citizens on water safety.

The initiative has received full support from the district administration, which facilitated the effective establishment of these rescue stations.

The District Emergency Officer urged the public to exercise caution, particularly when visiting areas near rivers, canals, or deep waters. He specifically appealed to parents to keep a vigilant eye on their children and prevent them from approaching dangerous water locations.
