'Result Transmission System' To Be Used In NA 4 Bye-elections

Election Commission of Pakistan has announced to introduce 'Result Transmission System' in NA 4 bye-election to ensure transparency and impartiality in elections results
PESHAWAR, Sept 29 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Sep, 2017 ) : Election Commission of Pakistan has announced to introduce 'result Transmission System' in NA 4 bye-election to ensure transparency and impartiality in elections results, said Provincial Election Commissioner (PEC) KP, Pir Maqbool Ahmad during a briefing here on Friday.
He said that system would be introduced on experimental basis and it would convey counting results to Returning Officer and Election Commission right from polling station through mobile at same time.
Speaking on the occasion, PEC said that the commission favors use of new technologies to ensure transparency in polling results. He said that system would also help enhancing productivity of the commission.
Briefing was organized by Department of information Technology Election Commission among others was attended by District Returning Officers and Returning Officers of NA 4. It merits a mention that the system was experimented as a pilot project in PS 114 Sind bye-elections. APP/mds/kmd � 16:33/17:29/17:29
