Returning Officer Notifies Nominations Of Nine Candidates For By-poll In PK-97 DIKhan-III

The Returning Officer Friday notified nomination of nine candidates for by-poll in PK-97 DI Khan-III to be held on October 14.
DIKHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Aug, 2018 ) :The Returning Officer Friday notified nomination of nine candidates for by-poll in PK-97 DI Khan-III to be held on October 14.
The constituency fell vacant after PTI's Ali Amin Khan left the provincial assembly's seat opting for National Assembly. Ali Amin won from the constituency with overwhelming majority security 31084 votes in the general elections from PK-97, while the runner-up candidate Qayum Nawaz of PPPP got 14,623 votes.
According to RO PK-97 DIKhan-III Muhammad Arif, Qayum Nawaz of PPP parliamentarian, Faisal Amin Khan of PTI, Obaid ur Rehman of MMA, Muhammad Zeeshan Khan Durrani, Farhna Afzal Malik, Javed Imran, Rehan Malik and Abdul Basit Javed had submitted their papers to contest by-poll.
The scrutiny of candidates would be held on September 4, while the appeals against the decisions of Returning Officers would be filed till September 8.
Appellate Tribunal would decide against the appeals till September 13 and revised list of candidates would be displayed on September 14.
The candidates could withdraw their nomination papers till September 15, while election symbols would be allotted on September 16 and election to be held on October 14.
It is to mention here that by-poll in one NA, nine PK Constituencies would be held as these became vacant due to death of contesting candidates, resignation under Article 223 and postponement under Articles 218(3) of the Constitution.
The constituencies included NA-35 Bannu, PK-3 Swat-II, PK-7 Swat-IV, PK-44, Swabi-II, PK-53 Mardan-VI, PK-61 Nowshera-I, PK-64 Nowshera-IV, PK78 Peshawar-XIII, PK-97 DIKhan-IIIand PK-99 DIKhan-V.
