ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jul, 2018 ) :The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has said rivers Indus at Kalabagh and Kabul in ''Warsak- Nowshera Reach'' continue to flow in low flood while other main rivers including Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej are flowing normal.

According to daily FFC report on Monday, the actual river flows and reservoir elevations indicates that Tarbela and Mangla reservoirs are at elevations of 1515.59 feet and 1148.90 feet respectively i.e. 34.41 feet & 93.10 feet below their respective maximum conservation levels of 1550.00 feet and 1242.00 feet. The combined live storage capacity of Tarbela, Chashma and Mangla reservoirs is 6.132 MAF (44.82 % as compared to the existing combined live storage capacity of 13.

According to FFD, Lahore, yesterday's trough of Westerly Wave continues to prevail over Kashmir and adjoining areas, however, it has weakened. Weak seasonal low persists over Northern Balochistan. Weak moist currents from Arabian Sea are penetrating into upper parts of the country upto 3000 feet.

FFD, Lahore has predicted mainly dry weather over most parts of Pakistan during the next 24 hours. However, isolated thunderstorm/rain may occur over the upper catchments of all main Riversincluding Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore and D.G. Khan Divisions) and KhyberPakhtunkhwa (Kohat & Bannu Divisions) during the same period.
