
Road Mishap In IIOJK Leaves Dozen Injured

MIRPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jul, 2025) A devastating road accident occurred on Saturday morning in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu Kashmir (IIOJK), leaving over a dozen passengers injured. A bus traveling from Udhampur to Jammu skidded off the road near Jhaj directed by Jhajjar Kotli town. The speeding bus veered off the road, resulting in significant damage to the vehicle, says a report reaching here on Saturday from across the line of control (LoC).
The report quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the accident was likely caused by over-speeding.
Police and emergency teams promptly responded to the scene, shifting the injured to the Government Medical College (GMC) in occupied Jammu. Several of the injured are in critical condition, sparking concerns about the severity of the accident. The injured passengers were rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
Preliminary investigations into the accident suggest that over-speeding was the Primary cause. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
