Roof Collapse In District Tank Kills 3 As Heavy Rains Wreak Havoc

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Aug, 2024) At least three persons including two women and a child killed on the spot while three others were critically injured when the roof of a house collapsed in village Kot Murtaza of District Tank due to heavy rains on Sunday.

According to Rescue 1122, a devastating roof collapse in Tank has claimed the lives of three individuals and the tragedy occurred as heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in the region, Private news channels reported.

The victims were reportedly trapped under the debris when the roof of the building suddenly gave way, succumbing to the intense pressure of the accumulated water, Rescue sources added.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but unfortunately, the three individuals could not be saved, they added.

Relief efforts are underway and the injured have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Tank, officials mentioned.

Meanwhile, Tank-South Waziristan road is temporarily closed for traffic in the Garah Baloch area due to a flash flood in the area.
