Rs 1054,249 Million Released For Food Security And Research Under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2017-18

The government has released Rs 1054.249 million under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2017-18 as compared the total allocation of Rs 1615.669 million earmarked for the financial year to be end on June 30, 2018.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2018 ) :The government has released Rs 1054.249 million under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2017-18 as compared the total allocation of Rs 1615.669 million earmarked for the financial year to be end on June 30, 2018.
Under the development programme, an amount of Rs 350 million was released for promotion of olive cultivation on commercial scale in the country as against the total allocation of Rs 500 million during current financial year.
Under PSDP 2017-18, the government has also released Rs 199.16 million for national pesticides residue monitoring system as against the total allocation of Rs 284.308 million during the period under review.
In order to promote the aqua culture in the country, the government had allocated Rs 48.174 million in annual development programme for aqua feed production for commercially important cultureable fishes and released Rs 40.
174 million by the mid of current month.
The government has released Rs 25.616 million for the development of clean and true to type fruit plant nurseries at national level as the government had allocated Rs 36.91 million for 2017-18.
In order to control the risk based control of foot and mouth diseases in the county and to promote the livestock and dairy production, the government has released Rs 103.725 million as against the allocation of Rs 134.920 million.
Meanwhile, an amount of Rs 127.284 million was provided for the project up-gradation of arid zone research institute to the level of arid zone research and establishment of new adaptive res.cum demonstration institute at Seakach, Wana, South Waziristan Agency, Mirhanshah, North Waziristan Agencies.
