Rs 6.5 Mln Death Grant Approved For 13 Workers

Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) has approved Rs 6.5 million as a death grant for the families of its 13 registered mine and industrial workers in the second quarter of fiscal year 2019-20
According to official sources, around 18 cases of death grants for workers came under consideration among which 13 had been approved by the WWF scrutiny committee, spearheaded by its Chairman Naeem u Rehman.
Around five cases were deferred due to non-submission of required particulars, the sources added.
Under its mandate of ensuring improved standard of living for labourers, they informed that they have facilitated their families through death grant worth Rs 0.5 million for each case.
