Rs 7.44 crore released for treatment of deserving patients

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Dr Hasan Askari has approved release of additional funds of Rs 7.44 crore for treatment of deserving patients.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2018 ) :Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Dr Hasan Askari has approved release of additional funds of Rs 7.44 crore for treatment of deserving patients.

The amount will be utilised for free treatment of deserving patients suffering from fatal diseases including cancer and transplantation of liver and kidney.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, Dr Askari said treatment of patients was not a favour to anybody but a duty of every government. People have full right over the government resources and they would be given their rights, he added.

He said that the caretaker setup was striving for public service according to its given mandate.
