Rs84 Mln Compensation Cheques Distributed Among TDPs Of Kurram

PARACHINAR, Jan 5 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Jan, 2017 ) : The Federal government in its onging process of assitance to temporarily displaced persons of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA), on Thursday distributed Rs 84 million among affected people of Kurram Agency.
Political Agent Kurram Agency Ikramullah Khan and Assistant Political Agent Irfan Ali in a ceremony held here at Sadha in central Kurram distributed the compensation amount among 200 affected families whom houses were damaged during the military operations.
Speaking on the occasion, Political Agent Ikramullah Khan said that a total 180 million has so far been distributed among the affected persons, adding that a few days back Rs. 80 million cheques were handed over to 288 affected families of the agency.
He said that Rs 400,000 is being paid to those whose hoses were totally damaged while Rs 160,000 is being paid to owners of partially damaged houses. On the occasion, the affected families expressed gratitude to the federal government and political administration for paying the compensation and said that the amount would help them to restart their normal live again.
Meanwhile, PPP local leadership and workers celebrated the 89th birthday anniversary of PPP leader Zulfiqal Ali Bhutto and sliced a cake on the occasion. PPP Kurram Agency President Jamil Hussain Toori, PSF President Tanvir Hussain and other speakers paid rich tribute to late leader and said that the efforts and sacrifices of Bhutto family for the sake of democracy would be remembered forever.
