RTA To Take Strict Action Against Transporters Overcharging: RTA Secretary Rawalpindi

Regional Transport Authority (RTA) on special instructions of Secretary RTA Rawalpindi Khalid Yameen Satti has started a move against the transporters involved in overcharging and not displaying fare list appropriately.
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2018 ) :Regional Transport Authority (RTA) on special instructions of Secretary RTA Rawalpindi Khalid Yameen Satti has started a move against the transporters involved in overcharging and not displaying fare list appropriately.
Talking to APP on Tuesday, Khalid Yameen Satti said no one would be allowed to fleece the commuters, adding those indulging in overcharging would be penalized and their vehicles would be impounded.
He directed the transporters to visibly display the fare list with destination at their respective terminals, else strict action would be taken against them.
He said, stern action would be taken against transporters found overcharging and overloading the passengers.
The staff concerned have been directed to check overcharging and overloading of passengers in buses andvans.
The checking will be carried out randomly at different places. Strict action will be taken on the spot and excess fares will be returned to the passengers, he added.
