Rupee depreciates against US dollar in open market

Dollar was stable in the interbank market Monday morning and was being traded at Rs 138.90.

Karachi (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th December, 2018) The value of US Dollar has accelerated against the Pakistani rupee in the open market.

According to media reports, the dollar has accelerated by 40 paisa against the Pakistani rupee, following which it is being traded in the open market at Rs 140.20.

Dollar was stable in the interbank market Monday morning and was being traded at Rs 138.90.

In the open market, dollar started trading at Rs 138.50 with a decrease of 30 paisa.

Earlier, there were reports that Prime Minister Imran Khan called on a delegation of traders in Karachi and gave them hopes for positive steps. After the prime minister’s assurance, the stock exchange showed positive trend.

The 100-index of Karachi Stock Exchange increased by 600 points following which, the index crossed the 39,000 points bar.
