Sadar Division Police Arrest 4,962 Accused During Last 10 Months In Lahore

Sadar Division Operations Police claimed to have arrested 4,962 accused involved in street crime, dacoity, robbery, drug peddling, gambling and other crimes during the last ten months.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Nov, 2018 ) :Sadar Division Operations Police claimed to have arrested 4,962 accused involved in street crime, dacoity, robbery, drug peddling, gambling and other crimes during the last ten months.

The police have also recovered 779 pistols, 46 rifles, 10 kalashnikoves, 41 guns, 11 daggers and more than 600 bullets from their procession.

Police also recovered 9,607 bottles of liquor, 8-kg heroin, 270-kg charas and 6-kg opium from drug peddlers. On secret information, Rs 1 million have been recovered from gamblers.

As many as 150 accused have been booked for violation of one wheeling, rental act and sound system act. Special teams have been constituted for the arrest of hardcore criminals involved in heinous crimes.

SP Sadar division Ali Raza said that grand operation has been launched against anti social elements involved in street crime, dacoity, robbery and other heinous crimes.
