Saleem Mandviwalla asks CDA to improve hygienic conditions at lodges

The meeting of the Senate House Committee was held today at the Parliament Lodges under the Chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Senate, Senator Saleem Mandiwalla

ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 21st March, 2019) The meeting of the Senate House Committee was held today at the Parliament Lodges under the Chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Senate, Senator Saleem Mandiwalla.The meeting was attended by Senetor Sardar Shafiq Tareen, Senator Mir Muhammad Yousaf Badini, Senator Kulsoom Perveen along with Additional Secretary Interior, Secretary Finance and senior officers from Capital Development Authority and sui Gas Department.The meeting reviewed implementation status of the recommendations given in previous meetings.

Convener of the Committee said that the Committee would make all out efforts to ensure strict implementation of the recommendations given by the members of the committee.The Committee asked about the re-allotment of shops in the Parliament lodges which were earlier shut down through an eviction operations by the CDA and said that re-allotment should be carried in a transparent manner.

Chairman Committee said that the Committee would monitor leasing and tendering of the shops by following proper procedure in a transparent manner.Committee expressed displeasure on conditions of cleanliness of parliament lodges and directed CDA to submit a detailed report on the steps taken to improve hygienic conditions.While enquiring about the progress report on the Maintenance Work in Lodges demanded by Parliamentarians, Committee expressed displeasure on the non serious attitude of officials of CDA and observed that members have complained time and again but no serious steps are taken by the officials.
