Sanam Dam To Usher Progress, Development In Dir Lower: Minister Muzaffar

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Muzaffar Said Advocate has said that the construction of Sanam Dam will bring a vast agriculture land under cultivation and usher an era of progress and development in Dir Lower.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2018 ) :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Muzaffar Said Advocate has said that the construction of Sanam Dam will bring a vast agriculture land under cultivation and usher an era of progress and development in Dir Lower.
He was addressing a joint meeting of the Adenzai Qoumi Jirga, owners of the Sanam Dam and local administration here at Fishing Hut, Chakdara Friday. The minister assured that the affectees of the project would be fully compensated and would be provided all kind of financial assistance.
Besides, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lower Dir, Sarmad Saleem, leaders of the Jirga including Khurshid Ali Khan advocate, Hussain Shah, Saltanat Yar, Rahimullah, Ikram Ghani and other elites, the owners of the land attended the meeting at large.
The government was represented by the Provincial Minister Muzaffar Said advocate.
The Jirga presented the grievances of the land owners regarding Sanam Dam. Speaking on the occasion, Muzaffar Said said that the construction of Sanam Dam was long standing demand of the residents of the area while Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) had waged a long struggle for its establishment.
The minister said that the dam would be established soon and assured that the affected land owners of all possible assistance and payment of full compensation. The finance minister said that the socio-economic development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa depends on agriculture and the lands of Dir Lower are also highly fertile.
He said that the construction of Sanam Dam will put the whole Tehsil Adenzai on path of progress and development and will increase the production capacity of the land.
