Sartyoon Sang Crafts Mela Concludes

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Jan, 2017 ) : The three-day Sartyoon Sang Crafts Mela of Sindh Rural Support Organisation concluded here Sunday. According to organisers, a large number of people visited the Mela and evinced keen interest in the exhibits that included fabrics, garments, Ajrak, furniture, decoration pieces and leather products.
The visitors appreciated skills and expertise of rural women. The Secretary of Sindh Social Welfare Department, Dr. Shireen Mustafa Narejo, said that the Sindh Rural Support Organisation (SRSO) has been established with the financial support of the provincial government to encourage skilled workers and help overcome poverty.
She said poverty alleviation programmes are underway in 10 districts of Sindh - Jacobabad, Kashmore, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Qambar-Shahdadkot, Khairpur, Nausheroferoze and Shaheed Benazirabad.
