ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2019 ) :Satrang Art Gallery would organize "Crossing Lines" a group show by six influential artists here in Federal capital from April 24.
The Ambassador of Spain to Pakistan, Manuel Duran Gimenez- Rico, would inaugurate the show.
The six artists include Aisha Abid Hussain, Ali Baba, Anushka Rustomji Musa, Ghulam Hussain, Hassan Shah Gilani and Noor Ali Chaghani.
Abida Hussein's practice is diversed, working with a variety of mediums from painting to photography.
She has exhibited widely in exhibitions in institutions in USA, England, France, Italy, Austria and Pakistan. Anushka Rustomji graduated from the National College of Arts in Lahore with a BFA in Painting.
In her work, she deals with themes of duality and complexities in nature while investigating the symbolism in Eastern mythological beliefs.
Ghulam Hussain hails from a place home to one of the world's oldest civilizations, Indus Valley Civilization. He trained in miniature painting from National College of Arts Lahore.
Hassan Shah Gilani work is at times pretty straightforward, with his simple geometrical designs, patterns or even lines. Born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, Noor Ali Chagani, a Lahore-based artist, creates works comprised of hand-made miniature terracotta bricks to demonstrate his unique take as a sculptor on the tradition of miniature painting.
