SCCI Hosts Seminar On SBTi And EU CBAM

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jul, 2025) An awareness seminar on the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) was organized by the Departmental Committee on Industrial Safety and Risk Management of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) in collaboration with SGS-Pakistan,here on Saturday.

According to a spokesperson,Vice President(VP) SCCI Omer Khalid and group leader Sialkot business community Riaz-ud-Din Sheikh (SI) attended the seminar which focused on highlighting the financial and strategic implications of CBAM and SBTi for Sialkot’s industries.

The session underscored the importance for exporters to adopt sustainable practices in order to remain competitive in the rapidly evolving global trade environment.
