The employees of Sehwan Development Authority (SDA) held a protest outside the press club here Friday decrying non-payment of salaries for last 40 months
The employees on the occasion also sat at the hunger strike camp.
Abdul Waheed Jakhro, Pervez Barejo and other staff who spoke at the protest said despite their repeated protests over last 3 years, neither the SDA's management nor the Sindh Government had budged to accept their demand.
They said the authority's officials always cited poor financial health of the department whenever they demanded payment of the salaries and pensions.
"Our families are starving. We can't pay for education or health expenses. The provincial government is compelling us to become beggars," deplored Jakhro.
The protesters warned of intensifying their protests if the SDA and Sindh government did not release their salaries.
