Senate Body Assures Justice In Senator Shamim Afridi's Case

The Senate sub-Committee on Interior Wednesday assured that justice would be done in the case of lodging a First Information Report (FIR) against the Senator Shamim Afridi and gave a week to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police to complete the investigation in the matter
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2018 ) :The Senate sub-Committee on Interior Wednesday assured that justice would be done in the case of lodging a First Information Report (FIR) against the Senator Shamim Afridi and gave a week to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police to complete the investigation in the matter.
The Sub-Committee meeting was chaired by convener, Senator Rana Maqbool Ahmad while Senators Muhammad Javed Abbasi and Shammim Afridi also attended the meeting.
The committee discussed matter raised by Senator Javed Abbasi on September 08, 2018 in the Upper House, regarding lodging of FIR against Senator Shammim Afridi.
Informing the committee on the issue, Senator Afridi said that the police had also registered a FIR against his son Abbas Afridi.
He said the Deputy Prosecutor had done injustice with him and his family member demanded action against him.
Convener of Committee assured that matter would be resolved according to law and justice.
