Senate body expresses concern over delay in Bhara Kahu project

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -5th Sep,2016) : Senate Sub Committee on Housing and Works has discussed delay in timely completion of Bhara Kahu project by Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) and CDA.

The meeting of the Sub Committee was held under the convener ship of Senator Nouman Wazir here on Monday at Parliament House. The body directed the FGEHF to present the complete report of the said project before the committee in its next meeting.

The Director General FGEHF Waqas Ali Mehmood told the committee that 3153 kanal land had been transferred in the name of Foundation.

He informed that 3000 kanal land had been purchased with Rs 950000 per kanal.

Member Planing CDA Waseem Ahmed Khan said that it was the responsibility of the CDA to provide road infrastructure to the society and other civic amenities. To a question he said that CDA has demolished the Kachi Abadies on the base of information regarding presence of criminal elements.
