Senate Body Reviews Facilities Of CPEC Project In Gwadar

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jan, 2019 ) :Chairman of Senate Standing Committee for Maritime Affairs Nazhat Sadiq here on Wednesday presided over a meeting to review China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) project regarding facilities of local traders in Gwadar port.
Senator Kehda Muhammad Akram Baloch, Senator Mehmood-ul Hassan Rana, Khush Bakht Shujaat, Maritime Affairs Joint Secretary Mis, Shazia Rizwi, Gwadar Port Authority Chairman Dostain Khan Jamaldeni, Director General of Development Department of Gwadar Sajjad Hussain Baloch, Deputy Commissioner Gwadar retired captain Muhammad Waseem and senior officials attended the meeting, .
Various issues related to local fishermen and Master Plan Gwadar port under CPEC project were argued in the meeting said press release. The participants of the meeting emphasized that Pak-China, Arab countries' investment related problems regarding CPEC would be resolved on time in Gwadar so that all investors of sectors could get all necessary infrastructure available here.
They said practical measures would take to provide all possible facilities including job opportunities, healthcare, clean water to local people and other related projects would be completed timely for the interest of public in Gwadar.
The meeting has informed that Pakistan and China will develop Gwadar port after completion of CPEC which would also boost economy of the country.
Director General of Gwadar Development Authority, Dr. Sajjad Hussain and Gwadar Port Authority Chairman Dostain Khan Jamaldeni briefed the Committee about development of Gwadar, CPEC project and measures of provision of facilities to masses.
Earlier, a delegation of local fishermen briefed the Committee's members about the problems faced by them in the area.
