Senate Body Seeks Details Of Central Selection Board's Promotions Within Fortnight

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2018 ) :Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat and Establishment Division Tuesday directed the concerned to furnish the details of promotions conducted by Central Selection board recently within a fortnight.

A meeting of the committee chaired by Senator Talha Mehmood sought details of employees working on deputation in Federal government departments.

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan and Secretary Establishment Division Dr Ejaz Munir briefed the committee that the federal government had introduced quota system under Article 27 (1) for 40 years.

Which expired in 2013. The previous government had refused ending quota system. A new summery in this regard has already been sent to federal government for approval.

The committee was told that current appointments are being made on old quota system. Some persons have already challenged the quota system.

The committee also sought details of results of CSS and seat allocations from 2008 to date.
