Senate Unanimously Adopts Four Resolutions

Senate on Tuesday unanimously passed four resolutions including implementing Zakat and Usher system; avoiding acronym of KP; giving three percent NFC share to Fata and including biographies of Nishan-e-Haider winner in curriculum of educational institutions.
The first resolution recommended to implement Zakat, Usher and Islamic economic system in the country in its true spirit. The unanimously adopted resolution was moved by Senators Siraj-ul-Haq and Mushtaq Ahmed.
The second resolution adopted by the House, urged the government to take immediate steps to ensure using complete name of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in official correspondence instead of its acronym, KPK or KP.
The resolution was moved by Senator Sitara Ayaz.
The third resolution adopted was moved by Senator Aurangzeb Khan, called upon the government to take immediate steps for the implementation of the commitments, made at the time of merger of Fata into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regarding the release of three percent of funds from the NFC award and creation of 20,000 jobs for the youth of those areas.
The fourth resolution adopted by the House was moved by Senator Khushbakht Shujat, recommended that biographies of all the martyrs, who have been awarded Nishan-e-Haider may be included in curriculum of all the educational institutions in the country.
