Senator Waleed Terms Construction Of Mohmand Dam Vital For Revival Of Smooth Economy

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Senator Waleed Iqbal Friday said on Friday it was the foremost priority of the present government to construct more dams to overcome water shortage as dams are vital for country's economic stability
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2019 ) :Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Senator Waleed Iqbal Friday said on Friday it was the foremost priority of the present government to construct more dams to overcome water shortage as dams are vital for country's economic stability.
Construction of Mohmand dam was the concept of whole nation and it is highly imperative for revival of energy and smooth economy, he said while talking to ptv news channel .
He said PTI government is determined to construct Mohmand dam with active public support.
Cheap electricity is need of the hour, he said, adding, Pakistan will be able to produce 10000 MW of cheap electricity in near future.
The government was committed for successfully completion of Mohmand dam in time, he added.
Senator further said , building of Mohmand dam will also increase the confidence of people on the government and we cannot afford any further delay in dam building project.
Replying a question , he said good governance, corruption free society and independent functioning of institutions will cast very positive impacts on economy of the country.
He said it is manifesto of the govt to eradicate corruption, recovering the looted money and serving justice without any prejudice and discrimination.
NAB is an independent institution and this is a wrong perception that government was influencing NAB against opponents, he added.
