Senior US Official To Visit Pakistan, India To Discuss Regional Security - State Dept.

Senior US official Alice Wells this week will travel to Pakistan and India to meet with government officials from each country to discuss mutual interests in regional security and trade, the Department of State said in a press release on Monday
"Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Alice Wells will travel to New Delhi, India; Thimpu, Bhutan; and Islamabad, Pakistan April 21 to 30," the release said.
In India, Wells will meet with government officials to discuss US-India cooperation in promoting security in the Indo-Pacific region and advancing shared goals agreed to at the 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue last year, the release said.
In Pakistan, Wells will meet with government officials to discuss regional security and trade, the release said.
