Service Open Forum Held At Birir Village Of Kalash Valley To Redress Public Issues

Service Open Forum (Kuli Katchery) held at scenic village of Birir at Kalash valley with the aim to redress public issues besides taking on the spot decisions.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Sep, 2018 ) :Service Open Forum (Kuli Katchery) held at scenic village of Birir at Kalash valley with the aim to redress public issues besides taking on the spot decisions.
Deputy Commissioner Chitral Khurshid Alam Mahsood, Assistant Commissioner Sajid Nawaz, heads of all line departments were present on the occasion and were listening complaints of public and were deserving services on the spot.
Elected Nazimeen and Chairman Village Councils Complaints in their welcome address said that road to the valley is in very dilapidated condition.
There is only one civil dispensary which needed up-gradation to cope up the needs of the people as Basic Health Unit.
They complained that there is no sale point of wheat from food department. They demanded up-gradation of high school to higher secondary one with local also complained that due to no lady doctor in the valley they are compelled to took their women patients especially during delivery cases to hospital at Chitral and were often expired in a way to hospital.
The visitors to the Kuli Katchery also registered their complaints about damaged irrigation channel and demanded for its construction because due to no canal their agriculture land was badly affected. Some of them demanded for increasing and approval of special quota in recruitment for Kalash community in all departments. The elders of the Kalash communtiy demanded establishment of Computer Lab at the only High school of Birir.
In his address DC Chitral said that on the directive of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan they are going to hold services open forum (Kuli Kachery) in every Tehsil of District Chitral to redress the problem being faced by the people there.
He announced for immediately arranging of Computer Lab in the school. He said that lady health visitor and other staff will be posted here immediately in CD. DC also assured for giving preference to Kalash community in recruitment.
District Food Controller said that he could provide wheat on cash payment but local complaints that the quality of wheat is not good, expired and substandard so we stop that immediately. On this occasion, DC, AC, DEO and other officers distributed free bags, books, stationery and sweet, with dry milk among the students.
At the end of the Kuli Kachery, DC along with other staff and an elderly woman planted sapling part of the plantation drive by elder women of Kalash community for ownership among them. There were also some stalls of different exhibition like books, wildlife, Rescue 1122, veterinary and animal husbandry etc.
A free medical camp was also held wherein doctors examined 105 patients and given them free medicines. Dr Gulzar, children specialist, Dr Farruh, Dr Farooq, Dr Rasheed and Dr Shoukat were there in free medical camp.
